Traditional Submissions Schedule

SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW CLOSED FOR TRADITIONAL PUBLISHING,
BUT WILL REOPEN APRIL 15-30, 2026.
In the meantime, please review the following information about our submissions requirements.

BEFORE SUBMITTING
1. See our mission statement to ensure that we're the right publishing house for you. We can only traditionally publish books that further our mission. If you don't fit for traditional publication, you may be a better fit for our self-publishing packages and services. Check out the variety of a la carte or packaged book services we offer, and fill out our contact form if you want more info on that.
2. Finish your manuscript. We can only consider full, finished manuscripts at this time.
2. Edit your manuscript. We get lots and lots of submissions, and a clean, well-crafted manuscript that shows your command of writing rules will be much more competitive.

SUBMISSIONS FORM QUESTIONS
To help you prepare for our brief submissions acceptance period, here is a list of the questions we usually ask in our submissions form (these are subject to change, but their basic info will stay the same):
-How does your book fit within Wildling's mission?
-Brief synopsis of your book (no more than 400 words)
-Brief outline of your book (For nonfiction titles, please include a chapter outline. For fiction titles, please include setup/hook, middle build, ending payoff/conclusion, etc.)
-Genre (including age)
-List 3 comp titles (comparable/competitive) and what makes your book similar to and distinct from those titles.
-Target audience(s)
-What you'll do to promote your work

We seek the stories our readers haven't met yet.
We’re seeking other wildlings, unique voices with important stories to tell. We encourage writers of all kinds to submit their manuscripts, but we specifically aim to use our platform to amplify the voices of writers of color, women's stories, LGBTQ+ writers, and writers of different physical and mental abilities.
Worried about sharing your information or manuscript?
Review our Privacy Policy.

We value transparency.
The manuscript review process can take up to 12 weeks. We want to make sure we give your manuscript and every manuscript we receive its due consideration. Once we review your manuscript, we’ll reach out if you’re a candidate for a traditional publishing contract.
